Ashton Creek Vineyard

We allow leashed pets on our patio, grounds, and in our event space when open. Only service animals are allowed inside the tasting room due to restaurant regulations. We offer individual Pup Plates for our furry friends that feature our farm to table fresh ingredients as well as water bowls for those who have left theirs behind.

Our three dog series wines, Bailey’s Bold, Sideway’s, and Willie’s White, highlight the love we have for our own vineyard dogs as well as donating a portion of each bottle sold back to local shelters annually.

Each year we hold our “Dog Days of Summer”event in August where we partner with a shelter for an adoption day.  This year Dog Days of Summer at Ashton Creek Vineyard will be August 28th-30th. Featuring $2 off pup plates all weekend, as well as live music, wine tastings, food specials, and an adoption day featuring pups from Richmond Animal League.

For VA Wine Unleashed Pawsport participants we will be offering 50% off pup plates and 10% off wines when visiting to collect their ACV Sticker.

Jolene Family Winery

We welcome four-legged friends to our tasting room and offer treats for pups during their visit. Our love for dogs goes beyond simply welcoming them to the winery. Each year, we host a dog show that brings our community together for a fun event. Donations from this event benefit the New Kent Humane Society, helping support their mission of caring for animals in our local community. Thanks to the New Kent Humane Society, we also have an animal microchip scanner located in our parking lot. This resource helps reunite lost pets with their families and offers additional support to local pet owners. As part of VA Wine Unleashed, participants who visit Jolene Family Winery and show their Pawsport will receive ½ off a wine tasting when they collect their Jolene sticker. We are excited to welcome pups and their owners to enjoy the winery and be part of this fun trail!

Gauthier Vineyard

Gauthier is offering 20% off bottle purchases for anyone with a pawsport. With ample outdoor space, dog treats, and their delicious Sweet Beau wine, it’s a perfect place to spend an afternoon for you and your dog.

River Dog Winery

River Dog Winery’s dog friendly perks include:  Dogs are allowed outside in our vineyard as well as inside the tasting room on a leash. We offer complimentary dog treats, water bowls for any pups whose parents forgot one, and a dog-inspired wine named Sweet Retriever in honor of our Labrador retrievers, who inspired our logo!

James River Cellars

Our dog policy is “Dogs are welcome throughout James River Cellars’ outdoor spaces, including both patios, the Pavilion, and the lawn. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are also welcome inside on the first floor of the tasting room. We love welcoming guests who want to enjoy the winery experience alongside their four-legged friends. For the comfort and safety of all guests, dogs must remain leashed at all times and be respectful of other visitors.” ****Spoil Your Dog Day Festival** will be our big dog-focused event of the year on August 8th from 12:00pm-5:00pm. We’re planning a full day with dog friendly vendors, adoptable dogs, live music, food trucks, beer, wine, and plenty of opportunities for guests to enjoy the winery with their dogs. We’ll have vendors and activities geared toward making it a fun outing for both the dogs and their owners.

We also want to offer passholders a one time redemption of $2 off a glass of wine or 10% off a bottle of choice during their visit. This would be available to them on their first visit, when the sticker is added to their pass but not for subsequent visits.
